|In Loving Memory of Paula Morris McTigue|
My Mom, Paula McTigue, was a patient of Dr. McCloskey's and treated at the Philadelphia Chapter during her illness. She was diagnosed with ALS on St.Patricks Day 2015, and passed away 7 months later....😥. We are so grateful to everyone, (especially Mary Kelly!! ) who guided us through this process and helped provide us with all the necessary equipment and treatment she needed to make her journey more comfortable and without pain.
I was fortunate to have such a wonderful boss and co-workers that allowed me to take a leave of absence from work and care for my Mom at her home.
Her illness progressed so quickly, we never really had the proper amount of time to process her diagnosis, ......or even sit quietly with it.
I miss her terribly,....she was my best friend, and the kindest person I've ever known.
My hope is that we will continue to raise awareness and money to help guide and support everyone diagnosed with ALS and their families......and hopefully one day find a cure!!
😇Mom....I love you a bushel and a peck and a hug around the neck!
